Week 5 :)

The past few weeks have been a little off because of Christmas break. We haven’t been able todo much but what we have got finished has been good. After getting in contact with our mentor we went to a few practices with him and he showed us some of techniques and skills to teach with the kids. With kids who need help with shooting gave us 4 good shooting drills. With kids who needed help with skating he gave us two good skating drills we could do with them. Kids who couldn’t stick handle he gave us good stickhandling methods and ways to critique their stickhandling techniques. All and all we are working up to running our own practice. Next week I will not be able to make practice because of a conflict with the game that I have but I will still be able to keep in touch with the coaches and make sure everything will be running smoothly. Also Harris Brotman and I Will be choosing two or three kids to follow and track their progress. With these two were three kids we can see how her coaching techniques and drills we ran with the kids helped their hockey game.
